sun's rising (and I am on your shore)
Mothering wind
Whisper the lullaby of Life
Sunset
A fading, lost beacon of
Burning wilderness
Exploding singe
Flash of sleepy resistance
Your eyes, transparent
Your eyes filled with eager,
Taunting flame
Ravenous,
Two searing chasms bore
into that canvas which is night
Silence
With dreamy eyes closed
I watch you as you watch
and wait
I am still in your stillness
I am warm in your fire
I am stone
I am stone
With your hand you wake me
Your gentle hands of light and fire
Touched upon my face
Like a thousand healing fingers
I am reborn
I stand silent before you
Eyes of fire and light
I shed tears from my eyes
O'er the beauty of yours
I weep
You open my eyes and my heavy heart
with your light
I am empty before you
Yet I feel so heavy
Why
(Is it the reflection
I see in your eyes
That is so beautiful to mine
Or is it You that
Makes it seem like
the most beautiful sunrise I have ever known?
So warm and alive
yet so untamed...)
I am not quite sure
Still I stand in awe
Watching -- reaching out toward
Your crimsoned fires that warm me
Silence
Your image is slowly being burned into my still bones
Silence
I breathe you into my veins
I am alive and you are my life's blood
I feel you coursing through
My body
You are my body
and I am your path
I am your beginning
You... my end
Your fire is upon my skin
Like hot rain pouring down from
a great inferno in the clouds
You are life in my eyes
My blindness flees
Through these decaying walls
of dark--
Of cold and darkness
You are my beacon
My great pillar of light
In this sea of endless embers
And I am freed
My shadow cowering behind me
Fades away
And I am healed
By your fire.
