Sunsets with Laurissa

Thoughts in my mind become so clear

of where I want to go and who I am

long treks and journeys far and near

across hotbed desert sand

Over withered rocky seas

seeking love and ceased confusion

search through treasured diaries

sunsets with Laurissa; pale illusion

I love you without knowing it

or seeing it

or hearing it

it's just always been there

a drifting, calming breath of air

the sensation I feel when your hand holds mine

is worth a hundred thousand silver lines

when our lips are pressed,

I'm soaring, speedy super jets

a thousand crystal hooved white horses

gallop uniformly to the sea

kicking sand, making their courses

plummet salty summer air run free

a giant crashing wave come pounding

my heart rate quiver triple time

a foamy sea mist sonic sounding

sun ray ringing rapid chime

double shell white clovered tassels

gleaming seahorse swift propel

no more tangled seaweed hassles

fountain wistful wishing well

sparkling penny at the bottom

falling nickel down below

gliding surface dime forgotten

splashing quarter dropping slow

silver shining gentle goldfish

I close my eyes - make a wish
