Rain
So glorious, yet ominous, the gentle rain can be,
Nurturing a farmers crops, or tossing sailors out at sea,
Lightening flashes, thunder speaks, as you come out to play,
Until the bright sun comes along, and sends you on your way.
So wondrous, yet deadly, the newness that you bring,
You wash the air with gentle touch, and make the song birds sing,
Yet fire follows lightning's touch, it shatters what it kisses,
And cities sometimes disappear, with your water's deadly hiss's.
So beautiful, yet scary, you cause many people fright,
Your lightening and deep crashing voice, your spectacle at night,
Yet soft and gentle on my face, you fall down from the skies,
Caressing like a lover, you hide tears shed from my eyes.
