Lost and Found
Weep not, my battered, weary heart,
For friendships come and go.
Though bittersweet, the memories,
Of someone you did know.
A sharpish word, a harsh retort,
Loosed quickly on the wind.
Flows smooth through air, and Internet,
A mind can not rescind.
Grieve not, my worn and haunted soul,
New friends will come along.
To take the place of those who've left,
And fill your heart with song.
In life, all things shall come to pass,
And new things come your way.
To fill the holes left deep inside,
And light back in your day.
Cry not, my sad and lonely mind,
New love will come to sing.
To keep you from the hellish depths,
Your darkest nights can bring.
Don't dwell to much on what you've seen,
And all life's small deceptions.
Things sometimes aren't quite as they seem,
Sometimes it's just perceptions.
Oh anguished mind and heart and soul,
Be happy with life's treasure.
Enjoy and love the little things,
That come in such small measure.
For life is grand and beautiful,
When all is said and done,
Enjoy the things that come your way,
Just Look! Rejoice! The Sun!
